Financial Data Analysis Training

Learn to read, interpret, and act on financial data with confidence through our structured mentorship program.

Most business owners can look at numbers. But understanding what those numbers actually mean for decision-making? That's where things get tricky. Our program focuses on practical interpretation skills you'll use every week, not theoretical concepts you'll forget.

Built Around Real Business Scenarios

We don't teach financial analysis in a vacuum. Each session works through actual business situations — the kind where you need to spot a trend before it becomes a problem, or recognize an opportunity hiding in your quarterly reports.

You'll work with anonymized datasets from Australian SMEs across different sectors. Some months look great on the surface but reveal issues when you dig deeper. Others seem worrying until you understand the context. That's the skill we're building here.

By the end, you won't need a financial analyst on speed dial every time you review company performance. You'll know what questions to ask, which metrics actually matter for your situation, and when numbers warrant action versus just monitoring.

Who You'll Learn From

Our instructors have spent years translating complex financial data into plain language for business owners who need practical insights, not accounting jargon.

Freya Lundström, senior financial data analyst

Freya Lundström

Lead Instructor

Spent twelve years helping mid-sized companies make sense of their financials. Freya's approach strips away the complexity to focus on what actually drives decisions. She's particularly good at explaining why certain metrics matter more than others depending on your business model.

Siobhan Kearney, financial reporting specialist

Siobhan Kearney

Program Mentor

Former CFO turned educator who realized most financial training focuses on creating reports rather than reading them effectively. Siobhan works one-on-one with participants to address specific challenges in their own financial data, making the learning immediately relevant.

How The Program Works

Twelve weeks of structured learning, divided into three phases. Each phase builds on the previous one, moving from foundational concepts to more nuanced interpretation skills.

1

Foundation Phase

Understanding core financial statements and what they're actually telling you. We cover balance sheets, profit and loss, and cash flow — but focus on interpretation rather than preparation.

Weeks 1-4

2

Analysis Phase

Learning to spot patterns, trends, and anomalies that warrant attention. This is where we work through real scenarios and discuss what different signals might indicate about business health.

Weeks 5-8

3

Application Phase

Applying your skills to your own business data with mentor guidance. You'll present analyses and get feedback on your interpretations, helping refine your approach.

Weeks 9-12
